Hey Guys,

I'm reading Cliffs, just wanted to know if Barron's is any better or worth it to buy and read? Will I learn anything additional or in a "better" way vs. Cliffs.

Just curious. Thanks.

which book is easier to read? Cliffs of barrons ap?

I have read both. Barrons is a more enjoyable read. It's written in paragraphs not a list of facts. I think Barrons does a better job of giving real life examples of the concepts. However, I think cliffs is a better choice if the person is able to apply such concepts without examples. For example, diffusion in general, is an easy concept, but thinking about what diffuses and what is actively transported throughout the nephron is a little touhger or How much energy is released from carbs/proteins/fats.
Barrons highlights these areas better. Cliffs is a better guide.
Barrons=application, cliffs=facts

mixture of two will be good.
I heard biology section requires applying your knowlege(facts). So reading both materials will be wroth it.🙂

I just need to finish ecology section of Cliff. I guess I wll be starting to read Barrons tomorrow. I also read that barron's have better picture quality for the explanation.

Barron's. recyrb did a great job comparing the two books. I used barron's b/c the concepts presented in the book were easy for me to retain. However, I did use other reference books and internet to completely understand bio concepts. I focused more on 'understanding' the concepts than memorizing all facts. Barron's was more effective and easy read for me, so I used barrons.

Are you comparing Barrons DAT Guide, or Barrons AP Biology book vs Cliffsnotes AP Biology?
