I was wondering if the future plans for clinical experience has any weight in the med school app?
I'm worried about the amount of clinical/patient exposure in terms of hours (3 semesters + shadowing ~100hrs). I can speak very well on the experiences that I have had though. I plan to have a get a lot more exposure time during this summer and my senior year because I will have more time with less course load, no MCAT etc.

Thanks

I think so.

During interviews, it gave me something to discuss that was fresh and also relevant to why medicine, etc. Also, it shows that you have continued interest and didn't just check a bunch of boxes before getting your app out. It sure won't hurt and only good will come of it.

I wouldn't be surprised if future plans of any sort mean much in an application. Anyone can say "I plan on doing _____", but that doesn't mean they'll ever actually do it.
