I had a question regarding clinical experience. I am a premed student hoping to apply to medical school next spring. I have worked several years as a patient transport volunteer at my local hospital (and have even been awarded a scholarship for my work in the position). My job duties are picking patients up at the checkin desk in a wheelchair and then taking them to wherever their appointment is in the hospital. I am trying to make sure my application is as strong as it can be regarding my activities and clinical exposure. Based on anyone's experience, will this suffice as clinical experience? Or will I need something more? I have never worked as a technician/phlebotomist/patient care associate but have worked in this patient transport volunteering position for quite a few years now. If I need something more, I really would like to know so I can get on it this summer! Thanks!
