Greetings all,

I'm currently a private practice outpatient psychiatrist with a relatively successful clinic. I have been recently considering working with mid-level providers and then I started to hear about clinical pharmacists. By chance, is there anyone on here who works in an outpatient clinic or under a physician? I have so many questions regarding full scope of practice, compensation, hiring and other things. I appreciate any input.

This doesn’t describe my work, but I know of pharmacists who do this. Scope of practice will vary by state. Where are you located?

If I was you, I would contact your nearest hospital that employs clinical pharmacists and ask to speak to the clinical coordinator. Their job is to basically create these clinical pharmacy positions so they would know the ins and outs of what you're looking for.
