I'm in the thick of putting together my list of schools for this year's clinical PhD cycle. I'm interested mainly in stress and the role it can play the prevention or triggering mood disorders (mainly depression and bipolar disorder) and impulsive behaviors. I've got a copy of the Insider's Guide 2012/2013 and Graduate Study in Psychology 2014. They've all been of incredible utility and I recommend them in the fullest to anyone interested.
The thing is, I'm particularly interested in mindfulness-based interventions, either in the prevention of mental health problems or as a treatment component. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find very many places with even one faculty member who does work in that area, even after going through both of the aforementioned books
Can anyone throw some programs my way with faculty that deal with emotional dysregulation/impulsivity and/or mindfulness? The research doesn't necessarily have to be along the lines of a specific third-wave therapy (e.g., acceptance and commitment therapy). I can post more of my credentials on request, but I don't want to bog the first post down with too much information.
My current list of schools I've looked at that fit the bill:
Wichita State University
University of Montana
University at Albany
University of Louisville
University of Nevada - Reno
University of Utah
University of Missouri
