The Center for Melanoma Treatment and Research with Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation (SPMF) at California Pacific Medical Center has established a clinical research fellowship focused on melanoma and cutaneous lymphoma. The program has a multi-disciplinary focus on the approach to treatment of cutaneous malignancies. The fellowship is open to pre-residency applicants interested in a career in dermatology or post-residency applicants interested in fashioning a career focused on melanoma and/or cutaneous lymphoma. The fellowship program is conducted under the direction and guidance of Dr. Mohammed Kashani-Sabet, Director at SPMF.

The fellow will work closely under the supervision of the Program Director as well as with other physicians in the program, including dermatopathologists, surgeons, and medical oncologists. The fellow will be heavily exposed to the care of patients with melanoma and cutaneous lymphoma, become well versed with the treatment of both early and advanced stage disease, and be exposed to clinical trials of investigational treatments for these diseases.

The fellow will also be engaged in clinical research efforts focused on novel approaches to the diagnosis, prognosis, and/or treatment of these diseases. Minimum requirements for participating in the fellowship include completion of one year of internship and having a valid California Medical license. Salary and benefits are provided and commensurate with experience. Interested applicants should send a letter of interest, CV, personal statement, Dean’s letter, USMLE scores, medical school transcripts, and two letters of recommendation to the Program.

Interested applicants should send the documentation via email
