Greetings,

The Center For Dermatology Research at Wake Forest University School of Medicine has a recent opening for a clinical research fellow beginning this July, 2010!

This fellowship is aimed at recent medical school graduates who have completed at least 1 year of residency training, and are interested in pursuing a career in dermatology.

The ultimate goal of the fellow is to work towards a better understanding of various skin diseases and the best treatment options for each. The fellow will be involved in clinical trials on multiple diseases including, but not limited to, acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and skin cancer. The fellow will also be involved in examining trends in the treatment of skin diseases using databases such as PubMed, NAMCS, Medicare/Medicaid and PharMetrics. Additionally, fellows are encouraged to present their own work in the form of poster and oral presentations at the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting.

The fellowship is for 1-3 years (depending on when you Match into dermatology). Acceptance into the CDR fellowship is not a guarantee of acceptance into a residency.

If you are interested, please email your board scores and an updated CV to Dr. Steve Feldman.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.

You must be really good at ultimate frisbee to be accepted to this fellowship

Ultimate Frisbee is not a requirement of the fellowship.

However, you must be able to obtain a North Carolina medical license (i.e. have passed all 3 STEPs of USMLE and completed at least 1 year of post-grad residency).
