Is this type of experience in the clinical trial setting valuable? Regulating for eight clinical trails versus being a research coordinator in the trials.

usually in regulatory stuff its a lot more just paperwork and making sure things were properly filled out/documented. As a coordinator you usually have to consent the patients and have some contact that way along with the paperwork aspects. If this holds true for the positions youre looking at might as well do the research coordinator gig. if youre doing this for getting more clinical experience it might be worth it to just do the regulatory job if it pays more and do clinical volunteering on the side

I'm an MD and have been in clinical trials/pharma for 20+ years. What exactly are your long term goals? If they are in clinical research, then yes any type of clinical trial experience is valuable. Even the regulatory stuff. But its hard without knowing what you want to do.
