Where did you apply last cycle and where do you plan to apply?
With what you have posted, there may be some skepticism that you know what you are getting into.
The main restriction, of course, is international status.

Do you think your personal statement and secondaries were good? The fact that you got rejected pre interview may indicate that you need to possibly present yourself better, on paper, and make yourself look like someone they would want to interview.

Also, I see a lot of really cool stuff, but not a lot of clinical volunteering and research. So maybe that's something you can work on.
