Currently, I have mild language proficiency. I can understand spanish very well, but I am weak at speaking it. I have been taking a spanish speaking course and am investing 20-30 hours a week practicing. I also practice speaking with family, friends, and co-workers daily. My goal is to be able to speak spanish fluently by the time I graduate medical school (fingers crossed 🙂).

Puerto Ricans are considered URM so you could receive interviews at Boston University, Brown, Dartmouth and USF Morsani, etc. . Einstein is located in the Bronx, which is almost 60% Hispanic and with a large Puerto Rican community.
