Closest Airport to NYU Dental

Just like the title says 😕

Anyone know what airport is the closest to NYUCD? I need to know because my girlfriend will be coming up to NYU with me (for move in) and then flying back to Texas 🙁 and she was just wondering which is the closest airport JFK or LaGwardia (or however you spell that 😉.

both airports are generally the same distance...jfk maybe being a little further out, but without the misery of driving through construction in queens. i would give myself at least an hour to get to/from the airport, traffic ALWAYS sucks.
one good thing is that its not a bad subway ride to jfk, the new airtrain is open which takes you right to the terminal ($2.00 for the subway, i think $7.00 for the airtrain) you can get to jfk in about 40 mins by taking the a train from the village area.
oh yeah, fares are usually cheaper coming into La Guardia...

i almost forgot about newark airport- VERY good alternative. about the same distance as the other two, with access to airtrain/subway system(PATH train) as well. driving is always MUCH better, as long as you stay away from afternoon rush hour holland tunnel traffic. its possible to make the trip by car in ~20 mins.

Your info was very helpful. I am really excited about starting school but also a wee bit worried, All i hear in these forms is how hard it is. It never bothered me before but now that orientation is getting closer I am starting to think about it.
