Closest to the pin: How long is your PS?

If you've played golf, you're probably familiar with the contest. So who's got a PS closest to 5000 characters as VMCAS counts them? I have 4989.

4980. Before I changed some words around, though, it was 4998.

I was at 5000, but changed some things. Back at 4983, but that might change. I'll come back if I get closer. 😉

Bounced around a bunch, but eventually settled on 4998 according to VMCAS (less by Word)

Last year my PS was 4999 characters (according to VMCAS, MS word was different). Every character was precious to me.

I submitted mine at 4143 characters. Some of the earlier versions were right at 5000, but when I rewrote the entire thing I didn't have anything else to say after 4143. No sense in rambling.

Anyone else have a short PS?

I think mine was at 4801, but at one point while writing I was hovering right around 4950.

4996. It -would- have been 4998 if VMCAS hadn't refused to let me change out one word for another. I tried to save it multiple times (came back days later, too) and it just wouldn't save. Other parts that I edited saved just fine, so who knows. Anyway, pretty close!

It was 5007, and I cut it to around 4500. Took out a whole paragraph about work experience that I decided wasn't super relevant. And it's turned in and now I need to stop second guessing it!

Mine so happened to be 5000 exactly. Just ended that way even after many edits and being finicky about the final bits... Do I get a big jar of gummies or something as a prize? 😀

4,907 =] On draft #28 million.. haha. I had every vet I knew, some friends, and most of my family read it. After 4900 I figured I had said just about everything I could say concisely. I am impressed with some of you hitting 4998 or 5000! That is impressive!

I guess mine was short, but I really felt like I said everything I could say in a genuine way without just repeating what was in my application. It was 4,075 characters. I hope being a woman of few words will pan out for me!
