I just passed the written test to get my CNA and will take the practical exam (which should be a piece of cake) Wednesday. I know I would neverr enjoy working in a nursing home, but I have been in the ER shadowing quite a bit lately, and I have absolutely loved the fast-paced, never-know-what-you're-gonna-get work environment. So with that in mind, including ER, what are some "good" units to take a position in?
If anyone has worked as a CNA throughout UG, feel free to give me advice : )

Thanks

I've worked for two years on a Telemetry floor. I get a variety of patient types (although mostly older heart/stroke patients) and have had plenty of quality experience, including codes.

At our hospital there is a high turnover in the ER and the CNAs get worked like dogs due to the subsequent understaffing. I can't speak for your hospital but being a CNA in our hospital is not as attractive as it appears and you might be limited in terms of what you will be allowed to do by the nurses.

Just my two cents.
