Hey I was wondering if anyone has ever tried or brought extracted teeth in from another country? I'm starting school in the Fall and I need to collect teeth before then. Since I'm international, my only chance is to collect them at home and try to ship them in or bring them in with me on my flight.

Does anyone have any advice? Is this allowed?

I had a similar question. I have to collect some teeth before I start dental school. I know a dentist who is a family friend but he lives two states over. Is it legal to send extracted human teeth in the mail? Not sure if they are considered biohazardous or something of that nature...

Yes it is biohazardous, you may have trouble getting it through customs.

Time to dig a piece of your childhood out of the basement and stuff it with the collected teeth...

LOL no way. Hiding teeth in a toy might be slightly suspicious 😏

I just came back from vacation overseas where my aunt is a dentist. We, too, have to collect extracted teeth so I asked for her help. I put the teeth in little medicine bottles in my check-in luggage and had no problems on my flight!

You should call your dental school and ask if they have any information regarding transportation of extracted teeth. Usually they will send you some type of traveling forms.
