My major is a B.A. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I was wondering if i need to take Calculus 1 and 2? Will it look better if i took cal 1 and cal 2? I am pretty good at math ( 26 in the math section on the ACT).

Wrong forum, btw.

You need to take 2 semesters of calculus or statistics to meet the requirement at most med schools. Algebra and trig won't float.

Wrong. Most schools which have a math requirement merely require 2 semesters of math. Some require calculus. Virtually nobody requires 2 semesters of calc.

ahh. so which one? one says i need to take cal the other say i don't.

Wow, I looked at some of the schools I applied to and the math requirements have already changed. It appears that almost none of them require calc or stat but many are recommending college-level statistics. Many MD-PhD programs do have more stringent math requirements, so if you are interested in those I would check it out more closely. Thanks for the correction, Keyser (awesome move, btw).
