My college is on the semester system, and most of my classes were for 3-4 credits, which is what I would input into the "credit hours" on AMCAS.

However, in high school I took a college class at a different university. This school was on the quarter system and for each quarter of the class, I received 100 "units", which is what appears on the transcript. This converts to 3.33 semester hours, or 5 quarter hours. I read the AMCAS applicant guide and it says, "Again, indicate your credit hours or units exactly as they appear on your transcript. Do not attempt to enter conversions based on the Grade Conversion Guide or any other conversion method." This makes no sense to me. So basically I'm supposed to enter in 3-4 for the classes I take at my current university, but I'm supposed to enter 100 for a class I took for only one quarter as a high school student?

Yes. Enter it that way under the appropriate heading. They will do with it what they need.

Ah ok so if I put in 100 under "credit hours", they will correct it for me? Is there a way to see what my calculated cGPA and sGPA comes out to after AMCAS makes these conversions?
