College English?

I recently called for my AP scores and I scored a 5 on AP Literature. I wouldn't have to take English I and II at my uni, but I don't know if I should retake it... I'm planning on majoring in science, and I already have 40 AP credits. English is one of the subjects I dislike, so I was hoping I could avoid it. Would med schools mind if I have AP english credit?

Most med schools want to see you taking a college English course. Even if you place out of freshman English, take an upper level writing or literature class in the next three years. It might even be helpful for writing your PS, etc!

Take the English credit then sign up and take an additional english class. Your school will likely have more interesting choices than english 1 and 2. Plus it sounds like you're pretty good at english and writing anyway
