I love the Town. If you love the outdoors this is the school for you. They are cracking down on undergrads drinking, but that doesnt effect me. The school is great for graduate work, but most undergrads are unmotivated to work. I know this because I taught a class and quite a few students didnt want to work. So that was frustrating. There are some good programs.

Maybe you know this already, but the dental school is not in Boulder. It's in northeast Denver with all the crack addicts.

As for Boulder, it's awesome and I will probably return here after I finish d-school. Lots of restaurants, shops, great concerts, and to top it all off it is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts.

Boulder = awesome........................NortheastDenver crack heads = not awesome...too bad the d-school isnt in Boulder.....how far of a drive is the d-school from Boulder?

boulder is about 20-30 min from denver

It is fairly close to Denver. About 45 min to the airport. The Public Transportation System is nice, but a lot of people ride their bikes, I am one of them and I know Fuji is also one of them.

I love Boulder, i would like to come back but I also love the beach, who knows I will figure that out when I am getting closer to being done with d-school.

a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts.
This has got to be the best parts about Boulder.

yeah, I was really set on going somewhere in cali or florida, but looking into CU-boulder more and more it just looks so appealing with all of the outdoor things. Are there research and dental-assisting oppurtunities? What is the general population like?

Like the school, hated the attitude of the faculty, loathed the location (literally in the middle of nowhere), despised public transportation, and as of this year no reclassification of residency. Oh and their rejection letter was an email with the suject line of "no thanks" how freaking rude is that. I would never go there in a billion billiion billion years.

I have never lived there, but I have visited a few times...
Bergler, to answer your question about the general population, there is a reason why those of us outside of Boulder call it "the peoples republic of Boulder."
Again, I haven't gone to school there, but some of the kids I know that go there seem to enjoy Boulder. The people up there are just a little to liberal for my liking...
