How did it go guys?Can everyone share? Any coments?

The interview was good. In the morning there was a short orientation, the Director said couple words too. Then they divided us into groups, part of us had practical, the rest went for the interviews. Practical was #3 gold crown prep and #19 MO prep, and then we had to do waxing exersize. They give you an example of what you have to do. We had three hours to do everything. For the interview itself there were two people interviewing, mostly asked usual questions, like "tell about yourself, the education system, what do you like to do in your spare time". Also there was at least one question from dentistry. The students from this year class were there all day and helped a lot, they were realy nice and freindly. There was no tour around the school, because they are moving into a new building in October.
They told us, that there will be another batch of the interview next month, they will interview about 75 people and accept only 12. So all the best to everybody who will get the call for July interview.

There were people that I talked to with 82, 83 in Part I, but they had Part II also. I am a little bit worried about the fact that I don't have Part II, even if my score is higher

Thank you so much for the feedback SJ 35. Wish you all the very best....Hope u do get in... Did they tell you anything regarding when u will know the outcome? Or will they do so after the second interview?
Also could you elaborate on what kind of waxing exercise you were given? How easy or tough was it?

What was your impression of the school in general? Do you think the previous batch students seemed happy about the program? Often times, when a school starts a program like this, it seems like the students suffer quite a bit as it takes them a couple of years to streamline the program according to what the students need..... what was the scenario here in Colorado...

I know, I have asked you a lot of questions but I think the information will prove very helpful to all who are applying......

I would like to add a little more info to SJ35: about the wax part, i think it the same as last year also Prady. And because of the second bath next month, the decision will be made in September. 2-3months more waiting.

hi , I was @ the interview last saturday
to your questions
they are calling a second batch for sure they said
outcome: august
students from last year were nice and friendly they seemed happy
wax exer. is not on a tooth , you have to shape a wax bar like a sample they give you , and wax inside some letters, not dificult at all

it is true that they r concerned more with part-1 score. My part-1 is 90 & part-2 is 83. the waxing exercise is really very boring but there u need to manage ur time. the interview was very cool. they just want to know u as a person & also about ur experiences from the time u r in this field. 😎

Did anyone receive letter for 2nd batch interviews at Colorado? What's happening? Has anyone tried calling them? I have tried calling them several times but no response...

Sorry to be pessimistic, but I guess the interviews for 2nd batch are either cancelled or postponed. If the interviews were scheduled on 16th then why wouldn't they post the letters so far?

Did anybody received letters for the second interview batch yet? They said they would let us know about acceptance after the interview process is over. So the longer they wait with the second batch, the longer we won't find out if we got accepted.

Thanks for the info. This brings a closure to my DDS quest for the 2005 admission cycle.....................................................................................................as I have posted somewhere else 86 (P1) is not a convincing score anymore. Anyone with 'similar' score must consider retaking Part 1.

I called U Colorado around 12 pm ET and spoke to Jane. She informed me that the interview results will come out on September 1. For reason unknown to me she took down my name/surname.

Anyway I am more confused now. Is the result out or not? If it is, then she is plainly lying! But why would she do that? Dr Harbans did say the result will be intimated after mid-August and at the max by 1st week of September. Why can't we get a straight answer? According to KOUA and gsk result is already out! So what's going on amigos?

The whole UColorado thing is really complex.

Well, how impersonaly one can take it? The worst thing is that you never know what went wrong and why they did not accpeted you eventualy. Especialy when at the inteview everything seems to go really well.
