still haven't heard a peep, and I'm in Indiana.
Here is what a friend of mine from Colorado said:
"I got a phone call a few MONTHS after everyone else got their letters. Unless you get a rejection letter, there is still a VERY GOOD chance you may get in. This school lets in A LOT of people off their wait-list (usually put 150 people on the list). I was in the 100's and enough people decided to go to other schools that I was granted a spot."
This made me feel better so I hope it has the same effect on all of you.
i went ahead and emailed Sherry Stewart, and found out my number. she said explicitly that last year they were able to offer acceptance through number 103. that's a hell of a chance 😉
Rejected yesterday, snail mail to MO, small envelope. Slightly thicker than usual, because they include two pages of information about their admissions process and what types of applicants tend to be successful and stuff like that.
(sigh). Oh, well.

I appreciate the info from CSU, but the thickness of the envelope gave me some hope for about 0.2 seconds. 🙁Slightly thicker than usual, because they include two pages of information about their admissions process and what types of applicants tend to be successful and stuff like that.

me too. oooooh well!
got an email from csu today. finally know i've been rejected from the PVM program (1200 applicants for 30 slots!), but still waitlisted for the DVM/PhD program. just need one of the four geniuses ahead of me to switch to cornell (or davis or penn or...) 😉

Snail mail rejection letter from CSU arrived yesterday. I, too, had hope from the padded feel to it, but alas.
i was rejected, too, but i called because i hadn't gotten the "thick" envelope. so now when it comes, i don't even have to open it 🙂
Just some info I found out....
Under no circumstances can you defer admission to CSU. You must reapply the next year...
There are 80 state sponsored spots at CSU for CO residents only. It is possible to be a CO resident and get a non-sponsored spot and pay the $25,000 support fee (just like you were out of state). So CSU differs than a lot of other state schools this way.
Why do I know this? Because I was hoping with all my being that CSU would be like some schools like Penn and let you defer a year, move to CO to gain residency and pay the very reasonable $12000/yr tuition... minus that evil "support fee"... unfortunately for my bank account, you cannot do that according to the 4 people I emailed (I wanted to make sure the answers all agreed with each other 🙂 )
