did you take 153A yet? if not, make sure you take it w/ Bates!! also, if you have time take some Micro and Physiology classes...they'll help you out a lot... enjoy your last yr as an undergrad Bruin...*you better be going to the games* 😍 I would give anything to be in your place now 😛 I miss all my friends that are still in LA so very much... always have a blast whenever I go back 😀

Yup, then you wait a few days...then plug that number into your computer *there's a sheet on the 2nd floor of the library that's a step by step guide on how to do it*

2nd yr cause they work us to death that yr...and there's no time to be enthusiastic... then you become enthusiastic again when you get a 98 on Part 1

YOU DROPPED 153????!??!??!??!?!??!?!?!?!??!?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT????! UCLA dent REQUIRES IT (don't forget to take psychology too)...and other schools require it...(and i think columbia's starting or started to require it)
classes you should really consider taking should involve these: biochem (seriously, i took 153ABC and from doing kaplan qbank for part I...i did pretty well on the concept questions for biochem, but since i haven't started studying and memorizing the pathways i missed all those questions). Make sure you take Bates tho cause her syllabus is amazing! microbio, and physiology... you'll kill the boards if you take some of those course at ucla (not that i have taken the boards or anything...but it'll give you an awsome foundation).
i hope you're doing history as your major cause you love history and not cause you think it's *easy*.
14CL is really easy...take it w/ Dr. Johnny Pang...he's fair. [just make sure you do ALL the old exams that you can get a hold of...but it's really not too bad].

Hey stargirl-

I am incredibly happy that I did drop 153, firstly because I dont want to go to UCLA at all, I grew up in la and went to undergrad here and realized I need a break from the people here. Also I took the MCATs before I decided on dental and learned about 90% of the stuff that was covered in biochem, so the class would have just been an inconvenience.
This is the thing- I wrote on my app that I was taking biochem this summer, but then dropped it a few days ago- for columbia it is highly recommended as with other schools but not really required. So even by dropping it and not notifying them till I have to in January, I guess they think I am taking it even though I'm not.
I am a history major because I love it- or the idea of learning about the world outside of a cell.

I just want to say Columbia 2008 dental class rocks!
I had the pleasure of meeting some of the people from SDN and others not on SDN so far everyone is extremely nice and it's been a blast.
I certainly hope we stay this way and enjoy the next 4 years.

If they said harsh things about your class.....I wonder what they would also say about my class!!!!! 😱

How the hell do we prepare for anatomy? The netters book only has names on it no explanations. Am I getting stressed out over nothing? Damn it I wanna study and I don't know how. Any advice? And also are there any upperclassmen around who want to sell me their books?

Hey everyone,

Yes i am still alive.. After dropping a good $500 and having lots of fun this past week, I'm finally actually starting classes.:scared: Well all i have to say is columbia is everything that i expected it to be, well maybe minus the stepping on of dog crap and used condoms, but everything else is great so far. And everyone in my class is so great is not even funny. And I finally fullfilled my lifetime dream of meeting stargirl so now my life is complete at last. Although I had oringally said i'd revealed her identity i have promised her i would not. Now I just have to figure out who doggie is....

Ok well now i'm off to first anatomy class :scared:

I'm just a jackass... If you find a jackass in the 4th year, then you've found your man!

For extra credit, find out who buckyball and badaboom are!

I have pieced some clues together as who you are and have drawn a composite. I'll prob just post that around campus. Buckyball and badaboom are alittle hard cause I have no clue as who they are, nowhere to even start.

Who else is going to Columbia?

I bet there will be great coffee. LOL

Columbia is great! It's hard work for sure but i think you'll like it here. There's definitely time to go out. People are cool...all-around it's a great place.
For the next few months...you should just relax. If you really feel the need to start studying or something to get a head start....I would just pick up a dental anatomy book and read it for fun. Otherwise...don't stress over school yet. Have fun, relax and do things you might not have time for later.
