What are other people doing for this?
Are there any reasonable hotels near the med school?
I'm thinking about flying into LaGuardia and taking a taxi to wherever I'll be staying.

I thought we were supposed to be setup with students, but I haven't heard from anybody yet...

I requested to be sent the student host list, but the program admin has not gotten back to me!

I figure I should have a back up plan just in case.

Good idea, I think I better call them tomorrow and see what's up.

Last year I stayed with a student host (she had an apartment in one of the towers) and it was a great experience.

I'm staying with a friend of mine that graduated from my undergrad a couple of years ago that's currently part of the program 🙂

Hey guys,

Columbia gives you the opportunity to stay with a current student. If you get a first year, you will probably get to stay in Bard Hall (the first year dorms), which should be a good experience. Flying into LGA is a good idea, but don't get a hotel!! I suggest staying with a student host at all of your interviews and I think other people on this forum will agree.

I am signed up to host students and will probably be doing so for most, if not all, of the interview dates. Feel free to ask me about anything if you have any questions. I hope to see you all in New York!
