I applied to, and was accepted to Columbia's E-MPH, University of North Carolina's Online E MHA, and Hunter College's (City University of New York) MPH programs. I'm undecided as for which one to attend. UNC is ranked 2nd, Columbia 6th, Hunter is unranked. Their prices are quite different too: Columbia is about 55K, UNC 34K, Hunter 12K. The formats are substantially different: Columbia is one weekend per month - Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, UNC is online, though requires three trips for a total of 20 days per yr for two yrs, hunter is a traditional p/t night program.
With the goal of maybe private sector consulting or going to Pfizer to do financial or analytical work, seems like Columbia may best meet that objective, though the price is a bit steep Ive been skeptical about that UNC format and how its perceived by hiring managers etc., and of course hunter has the lackluster reputation, but great price. Seems that maybe Columbia may be best if I want to be able to get into the private sector, ie. Consulting on healthcare etc. though UNC definitely has the best reputation of the bunch.
any thoughts or experiences, particularly for those with knowledge of any of those programs is appreciated to help me choose.
