I have officially accepted my position at Columbia and couldn't be more excited! Has anyone else decided to attend there this fall? I think I might have some housing already figured out, but if not I am all for finding someone...

Does anyone know much about the planning session we are required to attend? There are a million of them and I am trying to see if I can do it over the phone, my trip from Texas is expensive!

hey! congrats! i found out today i was accepted too. I'm still unsure though. I also got into American. I'm a little concerned about the size of the columbia program and the curves in the class...any advice?

Hey there JES,

I was nervous about the size of the program too but now I definitely feel that it has been just right. It's a tight-knit group and people are very supportive of one another. As for the curve, it will be your best friend. Seriously. Doesn't matter if you get a 70 on a test if the average was a 50 🙂 Curves mean you don't have to have perfect performances on tests, you only have to do better than everyone else. Postbacs tend to sit on the top of the curve for the most part. Hope this helps!

wow! congrats to all of you!

if you guys don't mind me asking, could you share your stats? i'll be done with my BA in business soon, and really want to get into columbia's post-bac for the 2009 spring term. it's my first choice above all the other post-bacs i'm looking into. i really want to get in, and i'd appreciate any helpful tips or advice. thanks!

I called them to get an expedited decision because I had to let another school know my decision before I would find out from Columbia. I think their letters have gone out though... I think I am going to the planning session on May 15th, and to maybe look for housing. Woo!

Also, my stats. I'm graduating in May with a Business of Science in Management I"m a double major in consumer behavior and management. I have a 3.5 and got two good reccs.

I have officially accepted my spot at Columbia for their post-bacc program. And I will attending the pre-planning session on May 2nd even though I'm going to start classes Fall 08. Hopefully it'll be a good turn out and very informative. Hope to see some SDN people there!
