Did you already send Columbia your $75 payment?

I haven't because I still have to re-take my DAT.

Plus I have similar stats as you, and *gasp* went to the same college!

Oct. 20th Anyone planning on staying in the city an extra couple of days?
 
Should I just stop caring about my GPA and concentrate on DAT? Or is USC known for low GPAs?

Got my letter also. I'll be scheduling tomorrow..hope to see some of you there!

Mine was submitted on July 19th, and mailed out on Aug. 15th
 
scheduled my interview on 9/12. oct and nov are full. mine is on 12/15..anyone else?

I heard it is really good to have interviews through december...
I guess columbia already found spot for the people who will get accepted
on December...
 
mine was mailed out aug 15th, check mailed out end of august - last week or soemthing like that

. . . columbia is the only interview i got though 🙁

Mine was sent out Aug 15th as well but so far no interview from Columbia. I am in Canada here so maybe thats slowing it down a little..but I'm starting to think I should have gotten it already if it was sent. I interviewed there last year with a much worse GPA and extracurriculars..so I was expecting to hear from them again..hope I do.

strange.... cuz i thought columbia has pretty high rate of accepting student after interview...
 
I know..i was pretty disappointed. I think it was because they had so many crazy DAT scores (23-26 AA) that they made a soft cutoff at 22. Mine was 21. Also my science GPA was only 3.06. I interviewed Oct 28th, 2005. Their acceptance rate isnt that high though..interview does not guarantee acceptance by any means..they were very clear on that.

Dude... the info on predents is so skewed... everyone there is a bonafide keener, meaning those are the chances for the predent.com people, not including the majority of the applicants. Predents.com does not represent the "typical" dental school applicant... Hell, SDN does not represent the "typical" applicant.
 
I just got my invite! Too stoked for words. But I'm booked for Dec 8th... the earliest they still had available. I think I'm going to stay with some friends and make a weekend out of it. Hit me up if anyone else is interviewing that day. We can bond.

I believe the class of 2010 average DAT is 22~23ish.
