Does anyone know how many people interview per year and how many people they make offers to?

How many MD-PhDs are there in a year?

Thanks.

on the subject of columbia md/phd, do you know if they ever re-invite rejects?

for your question:

they get 200 applicants. interview 70. accept 11.

not quite

70-80 interview, accept ~35-40, 10-12 matriculate

I was told 1/2 are accepted and 1/4 of the accepted matriculate

On their website it says that decisions are announced early February, so I am assuming that interviews there are done.

Am I correct?

yep, i called them about a week ago, they are done 🙁, md is still looking to interview into february.

is columbia known to invite people back to interview after being interviewed & rejected the previous year?

my guess is that if you do some high quality research during the year off, they might extend an offer. You would need to improve your application. I'm not sure if anyone knows which schools are known to do this. You might want to try calling them. It can't hurt you.
