Hi everyone. I'm curious as to how "tough" Columbia is to get into and by that I mean how important your GPA is versus GRE/Experience/PS/LoR. I ask because unfortunately, I am in a program that is far from what I wanted to study (young stupid decisions...) and I lost my father early on in my undergrad, which have impacted my GPA. By the time I apply, I will be looking at the following application (more or less):
GPA: 3.1-3.2 in Health Sciences
GRE: 90th percentile in all 3
Experience: 2 summers of administrative work in a booming private clinic, executive leadership position in NGO's university branch, research assistant for ex-CIO of Canada's 2nd biggest hospital in a healthcare governance paper
I know this isn't much to go on, but I'm really freaking out as to even being accepted anywhere due to my GPA... But Columbia's been my dream for a long time and expressing how Columbia will help me in my healthcare career and is the best fit for me will be very easy.
Thanks in advance!
