Columbia Teaser Email
Started by txfight77
And I got another teaser today! I did not interview at columbia so I wonder what this means 😕
Dear XXXX
Your application is awaiting the committees review and may still be considered.
Sincerely,
Admissions Office
Anyone else get this email?
I just got this too. Such a tease...I have no idea what this email suggests. Any guesses?

teased as well
I got this too ~ And I just looked on predents.com and a few have gotten rejected ~ so in a way i guess this is good news...made it thru another round? haha
I called in earlier today to ask them about my wait listed status on AADSAS, and the lady I spoke to said that they tried to assign a status to everybody that applied. Waitlisted means you are still under review and you will be considered acceptance for the next round. For those of you who got the teaser email it means that you still have a shot to get pooled out for an interview. good luck to everyone.I got this too ~ And I just looked on predents.com and a few have gotten rejected ~ so in a way i guess this is good news...made it thru another round? haha

It means they haven't even looked at your application. Did you apply later on? I got this email but i literally just paid the secondary fee 2 weeks ago so it was no surprise.

Naahhh. Some of us applied early.
You're right though, you got the email for more obvious reasons. Late application.
I got this too. My supplemental fee got there mid september i think.

I got it probably 'cause I'm Canadian. 😳
My application was sent in the first June 27 batch so no lateness for me.
I can't help but think everyone that didn't interview yet got this email to make us feel a little better. Anyone agree?
Yes. Except for the people who have already been flat out rejected...and they HAVE flat out rejected some people before interviewing.
Basically it's just letting us know we may/ may not be up for further consideration. Precisely what it says.
I've said it before on here. Columbia has accepted thus far 22 AA and above (except for special cases). They appear to have flat out rejected most 19 AA and below. It appears that the 21s and 20s are the ones up for further consideration, to fill in the post Dec. spots and whatnot.
This goes right along with what someone "on the inside" at Columbia told me they do. (Also fairly common sense).
or late apps.. AA23 here
or late apps.. AA23 here
I don't know man what all this is about but I have a AA of 22 and TS 23 and I had my application complete first week of September and I still got the email :S:S ...big disappointment as this is my top choice
because 22 is average for columbia when they sort their applicants. you need a 24+ to get pull out right away, but you still have hope.I don't know man what all this is about but I have a AA of 22 and TS 23 and I had my application complete first week of September and I still got the email :S:S ...big disappointment as this is my top choice
