I'm really curious to know who has been put on the alternate list after interviewing at Columbia. (Is this just a nice rejection or do I actually have a chance...does anyone know?)
when i was there on an interview dr. mcmanus said that they do accept a few people from the waitlist. he also said that the more interest you show (write emails /letters) the greater your chance will be of getting in. so if you are truly interested in going there i would let them know that.
good luck!

Hey Shamrock, how was your interview there? Mine was a blast. I too got waitlisted and I'm remaining optimistic about my chance being on this list. I mean, I see so many people getting into & choosing Columbia, & being that there's only 75 seats, I'm hoping they'll even go to the waiting list at this point, in addition, I'm juggling a waitlist at NYU, so hopefully I'll get off ATLEAST ONE of them, heh 🙂 ::sighs::
If it helps...I called good ol' Columbia today and they told me that there's only a handful of people on the alternate list (which I guess includes us). I then asked for clarification between the alternate list and the waitlist and he told me that they're one in the same. (good news.)
