My friend has been waitlisted at Columbia recently, what are her chances of getting off the waitlist and accepted? How does it work?
Does she have a good chance of getting accepted?
Can she improve her chances? How?

I was accepted off the waitlist last year. I can't say exactly what her chances are. I guess it depends on her credentials and her interview. I was told upon acceptance that my interview alone won me the spot. The only way I think she can improve her chances post-interview is the send thank-you's to everyone although I'm sure she did long ago. She pretty much just has to wait and see. I was interviewed Feb 29 and was accepted I think May 4. Good Luck to your friend.
