Has anyone else been receiving emails from various programs at Columbia other than the med school (nutrition, their program in Israel, etc.)? Is this a hint that they don't think I'm med school material?

I have been receiving the same thing! my finacee got in there last year and doesn't remember getting any of these e-mails.... kinda makes me worry

I got them all too. My guess is that these materials are sent out to everyone who applies there. Safeflower, I have no idea why you're getting them though!

i got the isreal one I think, but no nutrition. i interviewed a while back, so its not just for those they aren't interested in. dont worry.

It sounds like these pamphlets are sent to people who did not even apply to Columbia. That indicates that you are receiving them because you checked the box on AMCAS or the MCAT that says "It's ok for schools to send recruiting materials to me."

Thanks Photo! I applied, and haven't been getting e-mails . . . I was starting to worry that they didn't think I was good enough to be blown into little pieces while studying food. Now I feel better.

I agree. To me, these emails come with the smell of rejection. I hate it when they do that stuff.

I got it too and figured that they were gonna reject me soon...i am so desperate to go to med school i actually considered applying to the isreal school but then i told my mom and she freaked out so that was the end of that...when do they start rejecting?
