columbia can kiss my grits! they .tell you to call between 11 and 2 mon thru thurs, then when you take the time to call them during the days and hours they request, long distance, no less, they tell you to e mail....i do hope the director takes a look at this board....'cause if this is how the admin asst is directed to handle perspective students.....well, lets just say, it's flat out rude.
It's frustrating, but it's all just part of the process. They have rules (both institutional and inter-school) to play by too, and they're just doing things according to their system. You'll get plenty of this once you're in school, so just try to keep your blood pressure down. Dental school admission isn't worth stressing enough to shorten your life (trust me, that'll happen plenty once you're in 🙄 ) Good luck to all!
There's basically only 1 person in charge of the admissions.....and she only has 1 secretary to help her out. She's a pain at times, but just give her some time......😉
After i had my interviews a few years back, they also said that I'd hear from them within 2 weeks. 2 weeks come........nothing. 3 weeks pass........nothing. Finally, on the 4th week, I called back...........the lady said they had some admin issues so everything was delayed.......so she just told me over the phone that I was accepted.
When everybody is paying around 60K a year to attend Columbia, I would hope they would be able to afford to pay more than 1 person to be in charge of admissions.
