Hi there,
I interviewed and was accepted this year, and as of now am committed to attend in the fall. Plus, I have a friend or two in the program now. What types of questions do you have?

There are no standardized Qs for Columbia. The questions are highly dependent on the faculty member interviewing. You'll be surprised about how much they know about you from your application. Know PT, what you gained from observation/volunteer experience, research, etc. Answer questions honestly and with confidence. Be prepared for follow up questions based on your answer. It's okay to stop and think about a Q. Your experiences are great conversation topics.
The interviewing process is set up as program intro/breakfast/current student intro>program information>lunch>1:1 interviews/tours. Interviewers try to make you feel as welcomed as possible; a very relaxed atmosphere. Good luck to all.

I had an interview on February 8th, and I heard back the following Tuesday. It was surprisingly quick! I just sent in my deposit today!
The interview was not stressful at all. I'd ask many questions and get to know a lot of people. My interview was not until 3 pm, so I concentrated on getting to know the current students and asked a lot of questions to see if the school was a good fit for me. The interview with a faculty member was more conversational than a structured interview.

Hi everyone!
I interviewed on January 11, and was accepted the following Tuesday! I sent in my deposit and am officially a part of Columbia's DPT Program Class of 2016!
Does anyone know when we will receive a list of the entire class? I'm very excited to start and to meet everyone!

You will receive a cohort list in the summer and a finalized list a few weeks before classes begin.

Thank you! When is best to start looking for apartments? I thought we were given a list earlier to try and find out housing arrangements with other students.

I'd start looking 3 months before school starts. When you get a preliminary list of students, someone will initiate an FB group. You guys can find roommates that way. Keeping in mind that you should set some cash aside now for travel expenses to look at apartments with the potential roomies. Have your cosigners ready. Many students had to find an apartment using an agent. There are free agents and those who charge.
Just got the email with the class list - I've sent my deposit in as well! I'm a little scared about the cost of tuition compared with other programs that I've been accepted, but Columbia was by far my favorite program, and I loved the atmosphere and vibe I got from the faculty and students when I interviewed. What has been everyone else's experience with the interview/decision making process?
