Anyone going to the interview this Friday? What time does it start? I misplaced my packet... 😳

i think it starts at 9AM. go to VC 3rd floor (sorry I don't know the room number, but you can probably ask the security guard)
but chances are you're going to get out of the elevator... turn left and you'll see a double door on the left...[you go into those]

thanks, but anyone one know for sure?

StarGirl's description was 100% accurate. Get out of the elevator, make a left, at the end of the hallway go into the double doors on your left. You will understand what we mean when you get there. The actuall room number is 3-452 in 630 West 168th Street. Don't worry, the admissions staff is REALLY nice. There are also people walking around who can show you where to go.

I just wanted make sure the time was correct. Does it start at 9 am?

Columbia a great school on paper, let us know how it is in the real world.

good luck

HD 👍

hi i am going to columbia this friday also. i actually will be in ny from thursday till tuesday, so if u want to meet up and grab a beer or something let me know. i was going to explore the nightlife on friday and saturday and it would be nice to know someone.

I walked in the door at 8:45 and most of the people were arriving at that time. IMHO, being on time means being a little early.

qaz,

if this is your first visit with nyc, definitely stomp around town. personally, times squares is overrated (and overpriced, to scalp all teh tourists) but do take a nice walk around central park, go to chinatown and little italy, and DEFINITELY check out the comedy clubs around town. i also found stuff to be cheaper mid and uptown than downtown (where the tourists are=more expensive). if you're going to columbia this is where you will be living for the next four years (granted, you probably won't get out much the first two) so check out the town!

What are your stats and when did your application go out to the schools. If you dont mnind telling me that would be great because Columbia is my number one choice.

good luck

Where did you go to undergrad. This is my situation and i really want to go to Columbia I have a 3.27 overall and science is 3.15 with a 22/23/19 the reason my science GPA is so low is that one semester i had family problems and i had to fly back home every weekend so i got an F in my physics course. Besides that everything else is A's and B's do you think they will take that situation under consideration and be able to look pass that f. My app number is 4331. I also go to UC Berkeley if that makes a difference.

i went to the university of illinois. as far as your gpa goes you will probably be given a chance to explain it at the interview so dont worry about it. also your school is probably harder than min too.

Dont worry about the GPA. I have a 23/19/24. 3.1 overall and 3.11something science and got an interview. So there is hope for people with low gpas.
