Anyone used only COMBANK for level 2 ce and scored well (= average or above average for me) ? I have comquest as well, but I feel combank is similar to comlex question style.

I’ve heard some say that UW isn’t necessary for level 2, but you should be doing comquest if you aren’t doing Uworld. Personally, I’m still doing Uworld and the two COMbanks. Scored in the ~80%tile for level 1 and I’m not attempting to crush level 2, so take it for what it’s worth (not much).

It’s not as vital as level 1 but it is still necessary if you ask me. At my school at least, the ones that struggled didn’t do UW (the majority at least). Of those that did UW, very little struggled to pass 2

Both Combank and Comquest (Main qbank, not COMAT banks) were horrid for CE in my opinion. They were far too easy and Comquest had tons of one-to-two sentence questions. You should be using UWorld if you want a competitive score. Also, to the above, in general your CE should be a higher score than your Level 1. It's a red flag in my opinion if you score lower on CE than level 1 (which a lot of people do since they don't take it serious).

As it’s been said before, it all depends on your base knowledge from level 1, how you’ve been doing on comats, and your desired goals. I’m a fan of Uworld, but I also don’t believe it to be necessary if you aren’t shooting for >75%tile. The posts on here complain about question length on the comlex, and I personally find it’s a testing strategy rather than knowledge based approach. Uworld has long questions but most of the stuff in it is relevant and designed to make you pick it the minute details to differentiate to prominent diagnosis. Whereas the comlex just puts in random **** that is completely unnecessary and you just have to cherry pick the important info to get to the basic premise of the question. If you do Uworld, you’ll know more, but again, I don’t think it’s necessary to pass the comlex.
