Combank

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I paid 90 bucks for the 30 day subscription and the site won't let me log in! There is no phone number to call and the "contact us" link won't allow e-mail to send!

Is this site a fraud? 🙁

The site is not a fraud...just isn't up yet. I contacted them and they said it would be up this week. I saw a few of the questions from a friend who is demoing the site and they look bad-ass.

It still seems like a scam...

The "subscribe now" and the "take my credit card information" is working but the actual Qbank is not!

I want my credit card information erased! I paid for 30 days BEFORE I take the board exams, not 30 days AFTER when the site is supposed to be "up-and-running."

Breath in...

Breath out...

Breath in...

Breath out...

Aahhh. That was refreshing. Thanks. 😛

Hey guys,

Looks like a few of you caught the tail end of our beta-testing. I am truly sorry if you were unable to sign up or contact us initially. We had many people attempt to sign up during our beta-testing and were having difficulty. COMBANK officially released on November 22nd, 2007 and we are now up and running live. We are still in the process of putting together our demo but are working hard to complete this by next week. The site itself is in full operation. Please feel free to contact us through the website: www.combankmed.com with any questions you may have regarding our system.

I'm still not sure if this site is up-and-running yet. I tried to access the demo and it didn't work. I'm too afraid to try to subscribe again. I tried to "contact them" via the link on their website. I'm not even sure if that went through! haha. There was no confirmation page, oh well, there was no error page - so maybe. I'll pass the word if they get back to me. But for now, I wouldn't trust it. 👎

I came across this thread while doing research for the Comlex. I cannot believe some of the posts written here. I have been using Combank for a week now and have not experienced any of the problems you guys are talking about. All I see is a revolutionary way to study for the Comlex. I cannot think of any other comlex specific test program out there. The OMM questions seem right on the money.

I like this site, and do not believe that this is a scam. http://img.studentdoctor.net/images/smilies/thumbup.gif

I got access to the site and the people running it in PA are REALLY nice. Very understanding of all the chaos that was created and they were very persistent on correcting things for me.

I think the OMM questions are good. I wish they had an option for OMM questions only... my school gives us Kaplan QBank access so I really didn't need the other stuffs. I suppose the more practice the better, but they didn't have that many questions to offer. Maybe b/w 30-50 per specialty. Divide that much into how much you paid and determine if it is worth the price.

I found a few errors with the site as well. For example, if you go through a practice test, decide you want to click backward a few questions to change an answer you had previously selected, then decide to click forward again to where you left off... all of those answers you had previously selected become erased.

Also, some of the questions are out of order. I started one practice test with "question #2 out of 2" as my first question. I later got the beginning of the question later throughout the exam.

Not all of the answer selections are explained either. Example, "the correct answer is A." then they go on to explain why B, C, and D are incorrect, but forget to mention E.

Not to mention many spelling errors and problems with the clock during timed exams.

Other than that... I still think the OMM questions were worth going through. I do give them some credit though... COMBANKmed was a great and much needed idea. Just a little more work and some constructive criticism from us... and I think they will soon become a very popular and important website for all DO students to utilize.

I think all of this would actually help prepare students MORE for the COMLEX

This is an old post. Most of these things are fixed now. I think this post was originated right after the site launched. I thought the questions on this site were very much like what I saw on my exam. In fact, some of the topics were exactly the same.
