  1. Resident [Any Field]
anybody have any advice on these. There is one in Grand Rapids Michigan, The Van Andel institute which combines IM residency and a PHD training, and there is one in a UPitt which combines Path with the possibility of getting a PHD (although if my understanding is right, tey favor people who already have their PHDs) any advice or info would be appreciated

Check the Amer Phys Scientist Assoc website. They have a database full of different programs, some of which include residency + PhD.

UPDATE: This is the page I was talking about. Not all are PhD + Residency, and not all of the links work, but that'll give you a better idea of what's out there.

Efficient curriculum schedule reduces the typical 4-year radiology residency and 5-year Ph.D. program from 9 years to a total of 6 years for the typical student.

Sounds like a 3 and 3 program. Not bad IMO. Some will complain how can you get a PhD in 3 years and I don't blame them, but this compares with the other clinical PhD programs.

Thanks for the updated link.
