I think there are some programs that let you fold your first year of Interventional into your 3rd year of cardiology. Some people do this to shave a year off, but I've heard some people still do it the usual way because they use 3rd year to be certified in Nuc, Echo, etc. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
