I am interested in Neurology or Internal medicine. I was looking at the programs in ERAS and there were two types of program. Some of them were either Internal medicine or neurology but some were combined Internal medicine/neurology. what is the difference. Does it mean that the combined ones are preliminary internal medicine and then neurology?

Combined ones mean you'll be double-boarded in both specialties. Usually, your training is extended by a year or two but you save time than if you would do both separately. I'm not sure how long med-neuro is, but for example, doing med-peds means you'll be a board-certified IM doc and Pediatrician after a 4-year residency.
