Hey guys,

I keep on hearing about combining activities, but how can I combine the activities if theres only space for one contact information and start/end date for each activity.

Also, for those of us who arent as stellar as the rest of you, can we put work experience in different spaces, so it looks filled up.

Thanks

You would detail additional start/end dates and additional contacts in the description. You could put work experience in different spaces, but the Adcoms don't care if it "looks filled up," they will review the application for the substance and will not be fooled by how many lines you take up.

Why don't you post some specifics in the Work/Activities thread. We can help you decide if you should combine the activities or not. You don't want it to look like you are just trying to fill space. That's called fluff and it is not good to have on your application

You need to capitalize on what you have. Don't fill space. Use space. Some activities naturally go together but if you got a lot out of one, give it its own space. If several go together and you could use the space in a better way, do that. It's largely a matter of style and effectiveness. Only you can judge the best way to present yourself. Talk with professors and career counselors at your school for help as well.
