In regards to Ochem on the pcat, are we to know any hardcore reagents(like PCC)? Thanks!

pbbly just the fact that it oxidixes alcohol to aldehyde ( I would think so )

To being with there are no absolute facts that they will always ask. Looking for specifics like that is almost pointless. With as much time left as you have now the most important things to know are the test taking ones. Such as...

Skip questions you dont know!!! If you have no clue go on to the next question and when you finish go back to the ones you skipped. No point in wasting valuable time on trying to figure out a real toughie. If you have no clue again when you get back to it then guess.

There are no penalies for guessing, if you don't know guess....or better yet, eliminate choices you know are not it and then guess.

Keep track of time. Bring a watch and if you are under 1 minute left start filling in all the bubbles that are left. Though watch out because there are about 55 questions and 60 spaces.

Don't freak out!! If there are a few questions in a row that are very difficult, then they are difficult for everyone else in the room too. You score is based on how you do compared to everyone else.

Those are all the things I can think of off the top of my head. Good luck to you guys.

but that's a good hint

So many people asking for hints on various threads..if you search trhough all the threads on this topic, you can pretty much get a good idea of what type of questions should be expected.

As I have stated before, learn in your pre-reqs. You will not learn enough to make a difference in your score if you only study a few days before you take the PCAT. You know what you know, go into the test with confidence in what you know. There are no last minute magic PCAT bullets. If you know the answer, mark it! DO NOT doubt yourself or you will be on question 10, with 50 questions to go when 5 minutes is called. Look at the question, reason for a few seconds, answer, and go on to the next question. DO NOT spend more than a minute on any one question in your first pass through the section. I had one gas mileage question that would have taken a good 10 mins to accurately answer, but it is weighted the same as the 2x+4=10 problem. Skip the time consuming questions and go back to them after you answer the easy ones first! Good luck and don't do well enough to take my seat at UF! Hmm, maybe I should keep this information to myself. Oh well, power to the people!
