Any recommendations on comfortable yet professional looking shoes to wear during fellowship and beyond.

Haflinger Grizzly's. Have worn them since Internship. Great support, fluid resistant, and they BREATH so your feet never, ever, sweat.

I wear ECCOs. Specifically the Seattle apron toe style in cognac brown (I also like the Windsor tie, but didn't know about it until after I bought my shoes). Super comfortable. They are not quite formal dress shoes, but can pass for dress shoes, although I wouldn't wear them with a suit. People in the business world might look down on them, but I think they're fine for us medical people. Learned a lot reading on www.styleforum.net.

The Haflingers suggested by Ligament look fine to wear with scrubs, but I don't think it would work with a shirt and tie.

Guess it depends on what you mean by professional.

Suckers.....

Yes, I am. Extended release Tylenol free hydrocodone. CII and awaiting FDA denial. Phase 3 studies done and one of 4 products to come to market.

Danskos or Sanita

Ecco's, Josef Shiebel, and Mephistos are all pretty comfortable for rounds. In the suite I use
black Birki's.

i wear pumas or whatever shoe i want...
i wear scrubs now 5 days a week... i dont care.

on procedure days with scrubs i like calzuros. i prefer them to danskos as i find i tend to roll my ankles quite a bit in the danskos.

I like ecco for everything from dress (almost) to casual. If your feet arent happy, aint nobody happy
