Does anyone know much about these combined degree programs in dental school? Specifically, I am wondering about the MBA/DDS programs. How much longer does it take? Do you apply seperately from the regular application? Thanks in advance 😀

Unlv has one. You start during your 2nd rear I believe and you finish at the same time. You have to apply through the graduate office. The only prereq is a bac. degree.

That is just what I have heard since I actually haven't even started there.

I know Temple offers a DMD/MBA program. Its supposed to take an extra year, but from what the people at temple told me you can finish it in the regular 4 years.

I'm debating trying a DDS/PhD combo if at all possible, because of my interests in academics.

i know usc has a dds mba program u can finish in 5 years...


the catch is, u have to get accepted into the business school also

ucla has one too. you take a year off after 2nd year to the anderson business school and finish the program and come back to finish your latter 2 years. whether you could still cut an ideal prep after that year off is a very good question.

we have combined degree with mph, ms, phd as well.
tuition for dds/ms is covered while dds/phd will get a stipend after 2nd year.

obviously, it is a separate application and u need to take gre, gmat, lsat, etc. If you could get into a professional sch, i m sure getting into another department is not that hard.

There was a really good thread about this a few months back that had some excellent info on each of the mba/dds programs in the US. Whenever the search function starts workin again, you should look it up.
