Could you please suggest a good question bank for comlex questions. I used usmleworld which was great for the usmle...but the comlex questions are quite different to me. What about Kaplan Comlex, are their questions a good study guide and representation for the format of the Comlex?

How about shoot over to the COMLEX forum

There all your wildest dreams will come true
😳

Moved over to STEP 1 forum.

I would suggest Boot camp for boards that is for the COMLEX.. http://boardsbootcamp.com/level1.php

You can order their questionquest which I think it has like 400 questions but I am not sure. They offer other services as well.

I used Question quest as well as USMLE World (no COMLEX questions on here).

Good luck

I forgot, I also used the NMS Review for USMLE Step 1. It is in paper form but it also comes with a CD. The questions are VERY good and straight forward. UW tends to have some stupid questions that like only 7% of testers get right and can be frustrating. NMS has great question writ-ups as welll to let you know why the correct answer was correct and why the others were wrong. I would highly recommend this book. Make sure whatever you use, you use the questions to study material. If you get a question wrong then figure out why you got it wrong and learn what ever that topic was.

Good luck:luck:

Did they come out with a new edition or something b/c the one I read about and used in 2006 during my Step 1 prep literally BLEW.

The questions were clearly written by a PhD with little knowledge of medicine. Many random facts on stupid proteins that are never tested on Step 1 and questions asking you to interpret a black and white path slide. Hmmm...no thanks.

Not really a question bank, but if you surf over to NBOME.org you can do 50 questions on their practice CBT interface, and for $8 you can order a booklet of 200 released COMLEX questions. Only problem is, they're from 2001. 🙄

Several posters on this board have used the green Savarese book for OMM questions on top of a Qbank like Uworld with success.

Of course, Kaplan does have a COMLEX Qbank, but the feedback it has gotten on this board has not been very good.

Maybe you had the 2005 edition. The one I have is teh 2006 one. There are some black and white but is a middle section with only color photos. I think it is very medicine driven with 90% of the questions.

To the OP as well as those looking for study guides:Keep in mind that everyone will have their own personal preference and rememeber that when chosing a board study aid by reading through reviews. What works for someone, may not work for you and it might be a period of trying out what will work best. All my best.

(I am gonna email you back. Just got your email. Take care!!)

So the only 2 COMLEX Qbanks out there are Kaplan and UWorld? I cannot find UWorld anywhere... I must be searching for it wrong.

Is there any large hard copy books of COMLEX questions (more than 200 from the NBOME)? I hate computer questions, but I better get used to them fast!

Thanks for everyones input.
