Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect on the COMLEX as far as anatomy goes? I'm really kinda clueless and I feel like anatomy is one of my weaker subjects when I do questions. Is the back of Savarese good for COMLEX anatomy? It looks pretty thorough. What about reading blue boxes out of Moore's anatomy? Any suggestions?? I tried reading High Yield anatomy but it seems too shallow for the types of questions I've been getting. Any help is appreciated.

very little straight up anatomy questions on comlex ie dont waste your time. Just know your freakin viscerosomatic reflexes though. I shat you not there has to be at least 40-50 questions in one way or another on VS reflexes.

Definitely need to know the innervations (sympathetic and parasympathetic) and VS reflexes.
Use the blue boxes in Moore-Dalley for the anatomy study.
Know the brachial plexus.

I had a ton of anatomy on my COMLEX last year, and my exam seemed to focus on injuries of the lower extremity. I think I had at least 3 questions related to foot drop. The Moore-Dalley blue boxes are very similar to the kinds of questions you will get about anatomy.
One book that goes missed, but it a great anatomy resource for the COMLEX is the USMLE Road map Anatomy review book. Thin easy book to read, lots of clinical references that you need to KNOW hands down for COMLEX. First Aid is not nearly enough info for COMLEX anatomy, especially since the anatomy questions are tied in with OMM questions.

Thanks for everyone's input. If I have time, I'll try to look at some blue boxes in Moore's. DrSmiles, I think you mentioned Roadmaps Anatomy before in another post. In fact, I went out and bought that one and Roadmaps for neuroanatomy yesterday. I think they're great! I think they are exactly what I needed. Something simple and concise that gets to the BIG PICTURE anatomy that we'll need to know to do well. Did you find that after using "Roadmaps" the questions made more sense or got easier? Anyways, thanks for your advice. Keep it coming!!

High Yeild anatomy is great too. Roadmaps came out after my heyday but I've looked at it while meandering through Barnes and Nobles and it looks pretty solid.

HY might be a little easier to digest time wise. I had plenty of clinical anatomy questions on the COMLEX. Everything from ocular muscle palseys to intracranial hematomas to various disc slippage presentations.

Don't wig out on this stuff. I studied anatomy before bed (15 min o' reading) and used HY for bathroom reading material over the course of many weeks.

How are the general OMM questions? Also, do we have to know alot of the silly tests like Adsons and Sperlings?
