Step I COMLEX and USMLE comparison??

Rumor has (well pretty much confirmed by our faculty) that by the time the class of 07 graduates the COMLEX and USMLE will be scored on the same scale, making direct comparisons easier.

Do you think I should still plan on taking both??

I heard something towards that event. I think NBOME was going to start including 2 digit scores as well...and they are rumored to be making the test fewer questions like the USMLE. I don't know, we'll see. I guess it won't matter for me anyway, but still...who knows.

They came to school this year and told us: the two digit score is a reality, the new online ERAS for DO residency is a reality, the COMLEX will go computer and will go to fewer questions, probably in 2005.

i don't know about 2005. we were told that our COMLEX would be june 8/9 2005. still 2 days...
