Since COMLEX I scores have now become available, I thought I would be interesting to see what the opinion is of a competitive COMLEX I score for both allopathic and osteopathic anesthesiology residency programs. For instance, where would a person in terms of a program's quality/competitiveness in the following breakdowns fall if they did not have/want to submit a USMLE score:

<500 (national mean)
501-525
526-550
551-575
576-600 (approx. 1+ SD above the mean)
600+

Probably doesn't mean much because not many people know how to interpret those scores. I have said before, and am saying again, that the conversion chart provided by the NBOME is way off. Converts your 3 dig to a USMLE 2 dig. Ends up that the 2 dig is way lower when compared to the percentile given on the COMLEX.
