COMLEX - Medical Jurisprudence Questions

Hey guys,

I bought COMQUEST yesterday, and noticed they include a large chunk of medical jurisprudence questions. I took a look at them last night and yea...not easy. In fact, unless you've taken a class in the subject in the past 2 months, they're tough as hell. Very detailed and require specific knowledge.

Should I expect to see some of these on the COMLEX? In other words, should I waste my time going through them? I've done a fair amount of COMBANK and haven't come across any questions like these. Any input would be helpful, thanks.

Are they questions on Tort and what to do in situations where you are in a partnership vs cooperation?

We had a 4 hour lecture on this at school, so maybe it is relevant for the COMLEX, so I guess it wouldn't hurt knowing it. But I can't say for sure. Try asking on the COMLEX Level 1 Experience thread.

From the nbome site for the "2nd dimension" of level 1. Combank has mjp stuff in it too. Some of it is in first aid but my school also did a two week course on the more specific stuff. Can't vouch for sure how high yield this is though, my test is not til June 4th.

Here I was thinking MSUCOM was the only school torturing their students with many hours of lecture on the various partnership models....

I remember several jurisprudence questions, including Tarasoff decision, advance directives, and a sequence of 3-4 linked questions on the bottom of page 58 in FA 2010 / bottom of page 56 in FA 2011. Interestingly, that information was left out of FA 2012.
My COMLEX was definitely heavier on ethics / law than USMLE was.
