Does anyone know what the difference between Q angle and femoral neck angle is?
An increased Q angle is associated with Patello-femoral syndrome.

I thought the two angles were the same..?

Q angle - the angle is formed by the intersection of two lines at the patella. one line goes from ASIS down and through the middle of patellar and the second line is from the tibial tuberosity through the middle of the patella. this is the Q angle.

high q angle means you have genu valgum or knocked knee and is a/w with patello-femoral syndrome.

femoral neck angle is self explanatory. this angle is normally 120-135. if greater than 135 called coxa valga, and less than 120 is coxa varus.

hope this helps
