COMLEX...ONE Day Down!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i totally agree on the women and hormones issue..so far i thinks its been pretty good. Some quesitons i thought were really easy, I was like..are they really asking me this? WOW!!! my exam had many anticancer drugs plus alot of neuroanatomy..i too noticed a severe lack of biochem, physio, and even stright path..mine was more of a pathphys..i thought most of the opp so far is totally dueable

another thing..so much for the comlex not using buzzwords..my test was riddled with buzzwords..

My first book was no where near as difficult as my second. There was a cranial question about megna, lambda, something... What was that about? Some strange organisms and vectors... but overall fair. I think I could pick out the experimental ones. For example, I got an EKG without any lead designations. It was just lines. I was flipping it upside down, sideway, etc... trying to figure out what it was. Luckily I found another question that was labeled properly later on. I couldn't believe how non-existent biochem and general phys were... It could have been much worse. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, we have studied hard... hopefully it will pay off. Good luck to you all.

Yeah, thats one of those, "Who was paying attention" questions...Another one was the one about pain sensation to the eyeball...gimme a break.

I had like 6 facial nerve problems and at least that many "eye pain" questions...sheesh.

damn i dunno maybe yall smarter than us new yorkers... i think we got ripped...
but Q# 150 something my head was swimming... a lot of it was simple most common stuff but some stuff was off the wall... and is it just me or do they love putting two correct answers in the same question??
i dunno I hated the lack of phys, and I will never understand how women work, but despite that i thought the test was a bit loopy

Here at the school formerly known as UHS we felt like the first booklet was the hardest. I had five or 6 crazy questions about gait. I thought the OMT was hit or miss. It was either blatantly obvious or I had no clue what they were talking about. I also thought the path was weak.

Nah man, I'm still representing the East Coast... I'm just in Ohio on hiatus 😉 .

One more thing I thought of... what's with the cranial bleeds. I had like 8 people crack their heads open doing something stupid. I think four of them went through a lucid phase of some sort 😀 ... The chest x-rays were the worst for me though... I couldn't see fractures, infiltrates, etc. At least the mammograms were visually clear.

yes, lots of gardening-related back injuries here...
I heard about all the gait q's. I didn't get any---yet!

...going to study gait....
😴

oh yeah, and i'm so embarrassed i got burned on the contact lens-pseudomonas question....grrrr

dont worry, i said the guy with tb had coccidiodes...grrrr ...bad brain bad!

I screwed up the contact lens one, too. 😳

Good luck on studying gait...I had studied it, but my test had descriptions & gaits I'd never heard of.

oh yeah...i know what you're talking about. what dweebs, they really misled w/ that one.

Those questions today might as well have been in Chinese. By five when I was walking out I was sure I had developed Meneire's Dz. I counted something like only a hundred or so on each booklet that I absolutely knew the answer to. Hopefully I'll get lucky on the other 90. Here's hoping that tomorrow I get those easy books you guys speak of. Tho only thing I learned today is that I have no future in treating worker's comp patients from the field of landscape engineering. If I have to read about one more gardner throwing his back out I'm going to lose it.

Yeah the Coccidiodes was a low ball question and if you missed it, then you missed the following question. They didn't have to include buzzwords that had nothing to do with the presentation. Now we need to look at all the buzzwords as a red herring! What will they think of next?

I'll definitely be more careful tomorrow.

I too missed the contact lens question. Put Serratia, cause I had no idea what it did or anything.

Did anyone else have the guy who blew a blood vessel during coitus???? 😕

I had to laugh, cause I guess, if you are going to go, that is the way to do it. I think I put something about the cavernous part of the internal carotid, but I didnt know.

I agree as well about OPP....haven't had a single sacral question yet!! 😡 😡 I didn't realize so many people gardened. (is that a word)

Good luck to everyone on our exciting quest, and then.......

BRING ON THE BOOZE!!!!

I had a question on my first book that stated that there was cobblestone bowel with diarrhea,
for some unknown reason I went against my gut, and didnt think it was crohns and put entameba, I am probably the only one that got that one wrong, oh well.
If you get 70% of the questions right is that about a 550, b/c that is what I would like to get above.

I hope 70% is a lot better than 550, because I had time to count the number of questions that I was 100% sure about for the first two books. That equaled 112/370 = 30%.
